ERCP with biopsy

An Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopanchreatography with biopsy is a procedure in which an endoscope is introduced by the mouth until the second section of the small intestine is reached for the purpose of obtaining tissue samples from tumors or small lesions from the interior of the bile ducts. From these samples it is possible to obtain a precise diagnosis of the lesion in order to begin a specific treatment for each patient.
